Boy scouting is one of the most rewarding activities any boy can participate in. There are approximately 123 different activities in which a boy can be awarded a Boy Scout patch. Collecting these patches enriches the life of boys as they learn self confidence and obtain a working knowledge of each category. There is a large list of the different boy scout patches that are available.
Each scout can explore these different activities. He is limited only by his desire and the ability of finding the qualified adult counselor to teach the activity. Each merit badge has certain requirement to be met by the scout before the merit badge is awarded. These boy scout batches often become collector items for many men who seek to relive their own scouting adventures.
Each Boy Scout Patch is a work of art in its own right. They are beautifully embroidered and are designed to make a proud display of the boy’s accomplishment. Many of the newer Boy Scout patches have evolved from the growth of high technical trades. Yet, it is still a memorable event to weave a basket or learn archery and gain a Boy Scout patch.
